Once again I found myself in my usual little woodland area, not too far from my home, namely Skryllegården, just outside Lund, Sweden. I had gone there more for the fresh air and a bit of a leg stretch along the 3 kilometer jogging/walking path, but it wouldn’t be me if I didn’t bring my camera! So pictures were of course taken…and they are now shared on this blog.
Read MoreTaking a bus to the center of Malmö to photograph and show support for the annual Pride parade has become a part of the summer “ritual” for me in the last ten years or so (Covid years excluded of course) and it’s always fun! For a street photographer who often converts his photos to black and white it is also a welcome change in the photos into all colors of the rainbow (and then some!). As I always write though, it’s not just a celebration of everyone’s right to self-expression and love, it is also a protest and a show of strength and unity. I like seeing that!
Read MoreIt’s August and the kids are returning to school, according to ancient traditions, and according to traditions, but not quite ancient ones yet, it was time for the Malmö Festival to happen. From Friday to Friday the center of town is full of market stalls, food trucks, carnival rides and various performances on several stages. Previous years I’ve done multiple visits to the festival and photographed performances in several locations. This year though I settled with a walk in the city, shooting some street photography among the many visitors to the festival.

Read MoreIt’s been three years since the last time the Irish and the wanna-be-Irish-for-a-day in Copenhagen could celebrate March 17th, a.k.a. St.Patrick’s Day, but this year it was once again possible to gather to dress up in various shades of green, white and orange (but mostly green).

Yet, the sun did decide to return to us here in the northern hemisphere after all and the vibrant green of the returning leaves beckons us to go out there, cameras in hand.
Read MoreLast weekend I had the privilege of going to the town of Ängelholm (just over an hour’s drive from where I live) to see the exhibition of some photographers I knew. They all showed different styles of photos and I liked a lot of what I saw and it was inspiration to get a show of my own put together at some point! After the show my constant photo companion (Dad) and I went down to the Rönne river that flows through the town for a bit of a stroll.
Read MoreIt is March 4 as I write these words and at long last it feels like this gray winter is on its last leg (which of course means that since I wrote that we’ll have at least one snow fall before it’s all over…jinx!) and I am absolutely glad that daylight is back, both in the morning as well as later and later in the afternoon! A few more weeks and we’re back to Daylight Savings Time which makes for even longer afternoons. Yay!

Read MoreEach year, just before the weather and lack of light turns conditions here decidedly unfriendly towards photography we get a little burst of color from nature, free of charge. All we have to do is get to a place where you have access to vegetation and it’s often an abundance of colors for you to try to portray. This year I’ve done A LOT of black and white analog photography (much of it shared here on the blog), so I figured I needed to have a bit of variety in my photography so out I went. I picked the gardens and park of the nearby Alnarp agricultural university, a place I knew would provide lots of colors (although it’s always a bit of a lottery how many leaves are left on the trees by the time you head out there).
