I did a day trip to the Copenhagen Photo Festival and while the actual exhibitions weren't exactly to my liking the location of the exhibitions at Photo City, the HQ of the festival provided a few interesting details. It was held in an old power station near some gasworks and the raw industrial feel in the somewhat gloomy rooms was definitely still there.

As much as I've been shooting black and white analog stuff this year (of which I've developed some but not yet scanned them) it's hard to deny that outside the window the colors are pretty much as vibrant as they're going to be...until the fall colors descend upon us in a few months' time.

2017 has been an interesting year for me photographically so far. I don't think I've taken as few pictures with a digital camera since at least 2005. However I am not at all troubled by that, because I've done quite a bit of analog photography so far this year. I've yet to develop the films so it'll be interesting to see how bad I've managed to screw it up so far!

Once again I am allowed to show my photos to the general public, in this case at a local hospital's cafeteria space. I thoroughly enjoy the process with exhibitions, from taking the photos, processing them, picking what photos to print, printing them, framing them and putting them on the walls.

Once again I was volunteered to shoot a clothing show that a local senior citizens' group put on. Like previous times my dad was one of the runway models, so he was unable to shoot the event, hence me doing it. Plus it's an interesting experience to shoot that stuff, since it isn't quite what I usually do.
Read MorePhotography on a "spectrum" *
Photography is a funny thing sometimes. At best it's such an easy, effortless and fun process; you don't even notice how you take picture after picture and they're (mostly) all good enough to be kept in your photo library, while at the worst you think no matter what you do every single picture you take sucks complete and utter monkey balls!
Fortunately I tend to be mostly on the positive side of this spectrum (if you can call it that), but like most photographers sometimes I have doubts about whether my photography is any good, if it is really worth it.

As has become tradition for me over the last couple of years I went to Copenhagen on March 17th to photograph the celebrations on St:Patrick's Day.
Unlike last year's celebrations it was pretty cold and rather rainy this year. That was okay though...at least it wasn't snowing!

In a week's time I am once again heading to Copenhagen to be fake-Irish for a day. Yep...March 17th is St:Patrick's Day and it is time to enjoy the way that's celebrated in the Danish capital. I took a look through my archive of photos and it turns out I've been there four out of the last five years (I sat 2016 out due to just being through a bout of flu), so I've taken a lot of pictures of the celebrations!
Read MorePhotographing again!
It's been almost two months since I posted anything on this blog and that is definitely too long a gap between posts! I will blame a camera in the repair shop for a few weeks and a general lack of photographic focus, but hopefully now that the machine is back and in working order again I hope I can get back some of the drive to take pictures!
Read MoreNew year...now what?
At the start of a year you're supposed to write a "this is what I will try to achieve" post (at least that's what seems to be the consensus among many bloggers), and I did one of those last year, where I stated that in 2016 I would do two things photographically that year; an Instagram 365 project (which I finished) and I would do more analog photography (which I've at least I've begun to do). So that's great for 2016...but that makes me think of goals for 2017.
