What is the definition of stupidity? I guess one of them is to keep doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a new result. Well, that may sound a bit harsh towards myself, but that could be a definition of what I was doing with these 365 projects.
I did the same sort of thing - I shot pictures on a daily basis and upload them to Instagram for the world to see. After the year was done they formed a diary of sorts, a telling of what I thought the year entailed photographically. At least partly, since like most photographers I shoot A LOT more pictures than the one that gets uploaded every day.
2020 was my 5th year doing a 365 project (2014,2016,2018,2019 were my previous years. The last three were successful, the first was not) and I had few doubts that that year would be successful as well. I took enough pictures with my various cameras that I had backups in case a day didn’t yield a picture taken on that particular day (that was still the goal though, to upload THAT DAY’S picture).
The challenge that fifth time around was more to come up with new interpretations of already used locations (since I tend to move in somewhat familiar circles), angles I hadn’t tried before. That was be the big challenge in 2020!
