Even though it happens every year it sure feels nice when the colors in nature shifts from brown, black and gray to a more diverse palette , including green and red and purple! Spring is here and the warm weather we’ve had for at least a week has jumpstarted nature into spring. All over flowers and leaves have popped into existence and I am all for it! It’s been a LONG winter, this second winter with the pandemic affecting everyone, and now with the insane war in Ukraine as well… seeing these small splashes of colors, of new growth makes me feel much better! At least until the birch trees start to spew out pollen by the bucketful…then I will probably think differently!
The images in this blogpost are from two separate outings, one to the Alnarp Agricultural University just outside of Malmö and the park around there, and one walk through the Dalby Söderskog National Park outside Lund.
In both cases I experimented with getting really close to what I wanted to portray and used very shallow apertures, probably around 2.8 or even less in some cases. Thanks to the great 35 mm f2.0 lens for my Fujifilm XT-3 system it worked pretty well to do so!
