Last weekend was the first outing with a camera for 2023 and I went to my usual monthly Photographers' Brunch in Malmö, Sweden. We're a group of 10-20 photographers that meet up for a Sunday morning brunch followed by a slow stroll through the streets with our cameras, ready to take a picture or two.
I hadn’t used my camera at all yet this year, having just come home from my winter trip to Texas about a week prior so it felt nice to be out and about, even if the weather was REALLY wet and dreary.
Not a whole lot of people were out either (totally understandable) so the streets felt more deserted than usual. I guess the ones staying indoors were the sensible ones, rather than those of us out in the rain!
I shot all these with my Fujifilm XT-3 mirrorless camera and a 35 mm 2.0 lens, the only weather-sealed lens I have. I figured it was best to go with that option today. It's also more light-sensitive than the 18-55 kit lens...and trust me, today I needed ALL the light I could capture!
