This winter it has been rare to see shadows on the ground when you wake up in the morning; it has been a VERY dark and wet season…either lots of snow and ice or more common around here…rain, rain and more rain! Therefore I jumped at the chance to get some photos taken with shadows in them and to get a bit of fresh air as well…without having to tote an umbrella around.
After some discussions my constant photo partner (a.k.a. Dad) and I came up with Barsebäckshamn, a small harbor village on the coast not too far from here, overlooking the waters towards Denmark. There’s just something about going to the ocean, seeing that (almost) uninterrupted horizon line that gives me a feeling of peace inside. Of course it helps if it doesn’t blow half a gale when you’re at the seaside, but I guess that was asking too much after the weather gods had given us both sunshine and almost clear skies!
There were SO many planes above, every other minute or so a plane passed by on the way to or from Copenhagen airport.
Others had had the same idea…to enjoy the sunshine while it lasted.
There were more boats in the harbor than I thought there would be, given the harsh winter we’ve had.
Some creatures clearly had no issues with the strong winds and waves!
Looking towards Turning Torso and Malmö in the distance.
It was enjoyable to stroll around the village and the harbor, but after an hour or so in the winds it was also very nice to step back into a warm car and head home!
