“Take less photos...take better photos!” That was the phrase that I started out this year with, and while it feels like I’ve done just that so far this last week has been a direct contradiction of that. At least the first part (hopefully not the last part).
On June 4th I went to the inauguration of Malmö Live, a huge concert hall/conference center/hotel monster of a building in central Malmö where there’d be performances by the resident Malmö Symphony Orchestra as well as some local stars, like Timbuktu, Cleo, Damn! and Magnus Tingsek. The real stars though were the kids from La Sistema, an integration project through music. Absolutely adorable kids!
It was an interesting experience to shoot concert/show photos from the audience, and while I didn’t have the access (or gear) that the official photographers in the pit had I think I managed to land a few keepers at least!
Also, on June 6th it was time for the 11th iteration of the Staffanstorp Motor Show, a gathering for gear heads and lovers of everything motor-related. In other words, a big car and motorcycle meet in the center of my hometown. I’m not a gearhead at all, but when there’s an event nearby with the potential for me to catch a nice and/or interesting scene I’m there! Even though I sometimes felt about as confuzzled as this little thing who had managed to stray into the park where all the vehicles were set up. I do hope it found its way back to the nest!
I've split my photos from this event into two galleries, one for people I shot at the event and one with some of the many vehicles. I know some brands, but since like I wrote earlier I'm not a gearhead I'll refrain from naming them. I'm sure any person with car knowledge is much better at it than I am!
