I've been seeing animals in the woods...and no, I am not talking about deer, or squirrels or even birds (although I saw those too). At least not this time. No...I'm talking about the kind of animal...or creature shapes you can see in tree trunks and fallen branches. I guess it is a bit like looking at clouds and seeing familiar shapes and animals there. It's all in the way your brain and eyes are tuned into seeing it.
It's not like I do this every time I'm out in the woods, but when I look for them I tend to see them almost every time. I don't always photograph them though, because I have to be in the right mindset to do that.
I was that the other day when I was at Dalby Söderskog, Sweden's smallest National Park, located about 20 kilometers from Malmö. It's an old forest, where the trees are allowed to remain once they fall down, providing nutrients and other things for other animals, fungae and plants in the woods, and therefore it's got A LOT of them. Therefore, with the way I sometimes see them, a lot of "creatures".
