It is time for my last but one summary of this year’s 365 project and I think it’s been the easiest one of them all, mostly because I’ve allowed myself to include images from all my photographic devices; be it analog, digital or mobile cameras. That way I didn’t limit the type of picture that I could include. If I decided to my 5th 365 project next year I will definitely apply the same rules to it then. I’ve not decided yet…that’s what December is for!
The cover image is one that a lot of people reacted and responded to. It was taken during yet another outing to Lomma on the Öresund coast and the harbor/beach area there. I don’t know how many hundreds of times I’ve been there in my life, but somehow this particular image was one I hadn’t taken before. So I guess there is merit in returning to a scene again and again!
This is one of those images which you might call a happy accident. I was out testing my new Fujifilm XT-3 at the Triangeln railroad station for the first time and my intention was to capture a razor sharp image of these two young lovers as they passed me on the escalators. Somehow I managed to make it an unsharp image instead (I must have fiddled with some setting without noticing…it was a brand new camera at the time), but I think I like the end result this way too. In fact it makes for a more interesting image even!
Another picture of my constant photo buddy out and about during one of our photographic “expeditions”. This picture was taken at the Alnarp agricultural university where we went to chase whatever fall colors were still around. It turns out there were quite a lot of them, and it was nice to be able to capture them with my new camera, which turned out to render colors quite well!
One of the benefits of being part of a photo club is that you get to go on outings with people who share your obsession with photography. The people in this picture are fellow photo club members during an outing to Klagshamn, a little village outside Malmö, Sweden. We enjoyed a healthy trek through different landscapes before we reached the coast and was granted a rare moment of sunshine…not to mention dead calm (which is VERY rare around here!).
This is another image of a “first” - the first time I did night photography with my new camera. It’s taken at the Tivoli amusement park in Copenhagen, Denmark. I went there with a few fellow photographers to enjoy the holiday season where the park puts up A LOT of lights and Christmas themed stuff, including fake snow and so many places where you can buy hot beverages and seasonal treats. When we were there there was a hint of rain in the air, so the crowds were fairly mild, which was a good thing…it allowed me to take a picture of these chairs without people passing into the frame.
This was taken on my birthday at the Malmö FF vs Dynamo Kiev game at Stadion in Malmö. It was also the last ever home game of the team captain Markus Rosenberg. It was quite a special night where we paid tribute to the guy who started at the club at the age of 5 and now has decided that it’s time to move on from the soccer field at the age of 37 (can’t say I blame him…although it will be sad to see the team without him next year). The way the game ended though, with him scoring the winning goal to 4-3 at the very last minute of the game…it defies descriptions!
