Unlike many middle-aged men I am not a very car-obsessed person. To me a car is more a means to an end - a way to get from point A to point B, preferably in one piece - than an interest or a hobby. However, I do appreciate cool designs and people who are into a particular interest, because in a way they're the same kind of nerds/geeks that us photographers are...only aimed at another specialty field.
(And I am sure there's the same "rivalry" between different car makers' fans as there is between Canon and Sony fanboys...or between Mac and PC users in some circles.)
This is another post with photos I took while on my social media posting hiatus during 2018, so while the season is definitely wintery outside these photos are decidedly summery and taken during the abundance of daylight we get around these parts of the world in the summertime.
That's why it was fun to go to the weekly car meet in Löddeköpinge, Sweden, held every Tuesday night during the summer months. It's a free event and anyone with a vehicle they want to display can show up, show off and hang out with other car-obsessed people (and a few photographers shooting the event ;-)).
As usual during 2018 I shot it all with my trusty Canon TLb and a 50 mm 1.8 lens. I used a Fomapan 400 speed film, and that might have been a bit too much of a good thing; I may have overexposed the pictures a bit with all the sunlight available. I had to do a bit of tinkering in Lightroom to some of the images to make them viewable to anyone but me. ;-)
